Volcanic Jets are small underwater volcanoes that spew lava, appearing in Hungry Shark Evolution and Hungry Shark World. They are small, cracked holes about the width of an average Reef Shark that spew out concentrated, highly dangerous magma in vertical eruptions. The eruptions last for a few seconds at a time, and during the time magma flows consistently at a regular rate. After a few seconds, the eruption ends and the Volcanic Jet becomes inactive for a few seconds. Afterwards, they erupt again. When you touch them, your shark gets burnt. They are one of two inedible hazards in Hungry Shark Evolution, the other being the Toxic Barrel.

Locations[]

  1. Several Volcanic Jets appear in the maze leading to the Moon on a Stick.
  2. A few are found in the tunnel leading to the Crab Lair. These can be avoided by taking a shortcut near Skull Island.
  3. Several appear inside the Tunnel of Death, not too far from the False Teeth.
  4. A very large amount of Volcanic Jets appear under Shawaii's volcano.

Countermeasure[]

There are a few countermeasures to Volcanic Jets:

  1. Equip the Lava Baby. It permanently protects you from Volcanic Jets, mines, and other fire/explosion related hazards.
  2. Use Pyro Shark. It is immune to Volcanic Jets.
  3. In Shawaii, shark totems appear around the place. When a shark goes near one, it becomes immune to Volcanic Jets and other similar hazards for 5 seconds.
  4. Volcanic Jets will temporarily burn out after a while. When disabled, a shark can go past them.
  5. Leo and bigger sharks can destroy the rocks Volcanic Jets appear on, getting rid of them as well.

Tips[]

  • Since Volcanic Jets guard the paths to bosses and dangerous enemies, you should choose a shark that is just competent enough to defeat the enemy if you wish to cross its path. The reason for this is because Volcanic Jets force you to wait for extensive periods of time, during which a more powerful shark would suffer from insane health drain. Less powerful sharks have less health drain, so you should pick the weakest shark possible to defeat the enemy.
  • Don't attempt to charge through Volcanic Jets. They deal massive amounts of damage, especially if you barge your way through multiple Jets. You should wait for them to become inactive temporarily before you move.
  • It is best to avoid Volcanic Jets whenever possible, despite them leading to enemies with super high rewards. The risk of your shark dying is too great, unless you are willing to spend gems to revive. If you buy Lava Baby and equip it, you will be immune to Volcanic Jets.

Eating[]

So far no shark can eat Volcanic Jets. However, you can wait a few seconds, and the jets will burn out for a while. You can also destroy the rocks they are sitting on by using Leo or above.

Appearance in Hungry Shark Trilogy[]

Volcanic Jets first appeared in Hungry Shark: Part 3. They are identical in behavior and appearance to the ones in Hungry Shark Evolution. Multiple Volcanic Jets guard the way to the Evil Genius' Secret Lair.

A few more appear in the Strong Current, specifically when it passes underneath the Volcano.

Appearance in Hungry Shark World[]

Volcanic Jets come back in Hungry Shark World. This time they are smaller and shoot steam instead of underwater fire. They only appear inside the Volcano and seem to stay active for a shorter time. They are marked on the map by red rocks.
