Description

Barriers are parts of land in Hungry Shark world that block off parts of the water and land. They can be destroyed by boosting into them.

Water Barriers

Water Barriers are the more common type of barrier in Hungry Shark world. They are marked as red Xs on the map.

Bones

Bones are the weakest barrier in Hungry Shark world. They can be destroyed by a S shark and up.

Cobblestone

Cobblestone can be destroyed by a M shark and up.

Steel

Steel can be destroyed by a L sharks and up.

Jade

Jade can be destroyed by an XL Sharks and up.

Crystals

Crystals can be destroyed by XXL Sharks and up.

Purple Crystals

Purple Crystals are the strongest barrier in Hungry Shark world. They can be destroyed by an !! shark and anything more if they will be released.

Oil Pipe

Oil Pipes are special barriers exclusive to the Arabian Sea. They can be destroyed by a large shark and up. Once destroyed, they will produce a small cloud of spilled oil that is harmful to the shark.

Land Barriers

Land barriers can be broken for easier access to food.

Ice Sheet

Ice sheets can be destroyed by a medium shark and up. They can be found on the surface of the Arctic Ocean.

Bridge

The Bridge on the Golf Course can be destroyed by a medium shark and up.

Plank Bridges

Plank bridges can be destroyed by a medium shark and up. There are two in the Shanty Town.

Trivia

  • The only two sizes that don't need to be required for breaking barriers are xs and !!. Despite this, the Megalodon can destroy any barrier in game.
  • All land barriers require at least a small shark to destroy
